BOOKS, MOVIES, SHOWS, TUNES

There are so many great books out there and my interests vary so much, I wish I had more hours in the day to devour as many books as possible. Here’s what on my night table this month:

Names I Call My Sister by Mary Castillo, et. al.
The Complete Game by Ron Darling (Baseball is BACK, baby!)

I have always been very inspired by good TV and film writing, and will often use shows and movies to replenish the coffers. Some good stuff — old and new — to check out that I’ve been into this spring:

(no time for movies this month; try again later)
“Friends with Better Lives” (This show was just cancelled…RIP to some great laughs)
“Girlfriends” (I’ve been binge-watching these reruns; I miss Joan n’dem)

There’s no way I can get through a writing or reading session without a soundtrack playing in the background. Here’s what’s on rotation through my speakers:

“Carnival Tabanca” by Bunji Garlin
“Don’t Wait” by Mapei
“Another Door Closes” by Jont
“Fancy” by Iggy Azalea
“Feelings” by Chingx Drugz
