I’ve been ignoring my health and wellness
I’ve not been sleeping well.
But I’ve also been feeding myself what I know will coax me back. Ani helps. A lot. She reminds me to push on, push forward, that the good I do will speak for itself. I love that music does that for me, that I know how to heal my muse.
“everybody loves the underdog, but no one wants to be him … it’s cool to discover someone, it’s hard to support them”
I missed last week’s Artist’s Way lesson post, but I will pick it back up on Thursday. Last week was last week and I can’t change it. Here’s to looking forward instead: I am in a reading tomorrow and you’re invited. I’m hosting two readings in October, plus a new fancy lit event I can’t tell you about yet. And there’s our new Tumblr site and the writing workshop in Washington Heights that started on Sunday with a tight group of writers.
I’ve only thrown out the bathwater, folks. Trust that the baby is still OK.
xoxo,
Raquel Ivelisse
