In my head, this month I’ll be writing more than I have been so far. Whether or not that’s what I’ll actually be doing is up to the Mood Swing Gods.
But in between that, raising my babies and putting my house in order (literally), I still have some events planned for April. As much as I would love to hide out with my books, I realize that it’s not a realistic life for someone who plans on having a prosperous writing career.
First, I’m still hosting my quarterly New Voices Reading Series in Brooklyn. The spring edition will take place on April 27 at Simplicity Bar & Lounge from 4 to 6pm. Please don’t be late. We’re starting with or without you.
Also, on the following Tuesday, April 29, I’ll be at La Casa Azul Bookstore from 6 to 8pm promoting the release of the New Voices Anthology! I’m pretty excited about this pet project, and I can’t wait for you all to see how wonderfully Marcin Kaliski designed the cover and what great stories and poems my New Voices people contributed. More on that later…
I highly recommend that, if you’re suffering from Raquel withdrawal, you come to one or both of these events. You won’t really be seeing me much until July. Maybe. I have things to do.
